EcoFlow vs BLUETTI Australia: Which Power Station to Buy in 2026

Quick verdict: At ~300Wh it’s a draw: EcoFlow for expansion, BLUETTI for fast charging. At ~800Wh, BLUETTI’s AC70 has more output and solar input. At 1kWh, BLUETTI’s Elite 100 V2 is the value pick; EcoFlow’s DELTA 3 Plus expands. At 2kWh, BLUETTI is cheaper and EcoFlow can grow to 10kWh.
Most “EcoFlow vs BLUETTI” articles compare the brands in general, or use models that have been replaced. We’ve done it differently. We matched four pairs by size, all on sale on each brand’s Australian store when we checked on 1 November 2026. Then we read the specs and warranty terms from the official AU pages, and re-checked every price on 2 November 2026. The answer changes by tier, not by brand.
Here’s what we didn’t do: we haven’t tested these units. This comparison uses manufacturer specifications and published prices. Where a page left something out or was unclear, we say so. Specs are what the manufacturer claims, not measured results.
Prices and stock were checked on EcoFlow AU and BLUETTI AU on 2 November 2026. EcoFlow’s Halloween sale prices had ended by then. Both stores run frequent sales, so check the live price before you buy.
How we compared
We used the same criteria for every pair:
- Rated vs usable capacity. Rated capacity (Wh) is the battery size on the box. Usable energy is lower because of inverter losses and the battery’s depth of discharge. As one example, BLUETTI’s Elite 100 V2 FAQ gives a 90% depth of discharge and over 90% inverter efficiency.
- Continuous and surge output. Continuous output is what the unit can supply all day. Surge is the short peak for motors and compressors starting up. EcoFlow’s X-Boost and BLUETTI’s power lifting are separate modes that let resistive heating loads, such as kettles, run above the rated output, up to a limit each brand sets per model.
- AC recharge time. How quickly the unit refills from a wall socket.
- Max solar input. This decides how much you can get back on a sunny day at camp. For panel sizing, see our solar panel size guide .
- UPS switchover time. How quickly the unit takes over when mains power drops. This matters for computers, modems and CPAP machines.
- Battery chemistry and cycle rating, plus the percentage of capacity left at the end of the cycle rating.
- Weight, because you’ll be lifting it in and out of a car.
- AU warranty term, read from each brand’s Australian pages.
- App and expandability.
On voltage, BLUETTI’s AU spec tables list 230V AC output for the Elite 30 V2, AC70, Elite 100 V2, Elite 200 V2 and AC180P. EcoFlow’s AU product pages don’t state the AC voltage or socket type in their spec tables, and EcoFlow’s user manuals say the sockets vary by local standard. Neither brand’s AU pages name the socket type. If you’re buying from anywhere other than the brand’s AU store, check that the unit has Australian outlets.
Tier 1 (~300Wh): EcoFlow RIVER 3 Plus vs BLUETTI Elite 30 V2
These are small units for phones, LED lights or a laptop overnight. Some CPAP machines may run on them too, depending on the machine and whether it has a humidifier.
| Spec | EcoFlow RIVER 3 Plus | BLUETTI Elite 30 V2 |
|---|---|---|
| Price (2 Nov 2026) | A$499 | A$499 |
| Capacity | 286Wh | 288Wh |
| Battery | LiFePO4, 3,000 cycles to 80% | LiFePO4, 3,000+ cycles to 80% |
| AC output | 600W (1,200W surge) | 600W, 230V (1,500W surge) |
| USB-C | 100W | 140W |
| AC recharge | 360W, about 1 hr | 980W, 80% in about 45 min |
| Max solar | 220W | 200W |
| UPS | <10ms | ≤10ms |
| Weight | 4.7kg | 4.3kg |
| Expandable | Yes, to 572Wh (EB300) or 858Wh (EB600) | No |
| AU warranty | 5 years | 5 years |
On paper the two are close. The differences are recharging and expansion. The Elite 30 V2 takes up to 980W from the wall, so it gets most of the way to full during a short stop. It also has a 140W USB-C port for larger laptops. The RIVER 3 Plus recharges at 360W, but you can add one EcoFlow extra battery later: the EB300 (286Wh) takes it to 572Wh and the EB600 (572Wh) to 858Wh, EcoFlow’s maximum. The EB600 version is how EcoFlow builds the RIVER 3 Max Plus below. On 2 November 2026 the EB300 was A$349 and in stock on EcoFlow AU, while the EB600 (A$549) showed as unavailable on its own. Both were A$499 when we checked on 2 November 2026.
Temperature limits matter in Australia. EcoFlow lists charging at 0–45°C and discharging at −10–45°C for the RIVER 3 Plus. BLUETTI lists 0–40°C and −20–40°C for the Elite 30 V2.
Pick EcoFlow if… you want to be able to add battery later, or will often charge it on hot days.
Pick BLUETTI if… you recharge mostly from the wall or a generator and want it done fast, or want to run a laptop over USB-C.
Tier 2 (~800Wh): EcoFlow RIVER 3 Max Plus vs BLUETTI AC70
This is the weekend tier: a 12V fridge, lights and charging, ideally topped up by solar.
| Spec | EcoFlow RIVER 3 Max Plus | BLUETTI AC70 |
|---|---|---|
| Price (2 Nov 2026) | A$899 | A$899 |
| Capacity | 858Wh | 768Wh |
| Battery | LiFePO4, 3,000 cycles to 80% | LiFePO4, 3,000+ cycles to 80% |
| AC output | 600W (1,200W surge) | 1,000W, 2 × 230V (2,000W power lifting) |
| AC recharge | EcoFlow quotes 2.3 hrs to full | 950W, 80% in about 45 min |
| Max solar | 220W | 500W |
| UPS | <10ms | 20ms |
| Weight | 10.8kg | 10.2kg |
| Expandable | Already at the 858Wh maximum (RIVER 3 Plus + EB600) | B80 in power bank mode (1,574Wh total) |
| App | EcoFlow app | BLUETTI app (Bluetooth) |
| AU warranty | 5 years | 5 years |
The RIVER 3 Max Plus is a RIVER 3 Plus with an EB600 extra battery attached. You get the most capacity in this tier, and you can take just the 4.7kg core unit on short outings. But it keeps the RIVER 3 Plus’s 600W output and 220W solar input. EcoFlow quotes about 4.8 hours to fill it on 220W of solar in good sun. On 2 November 2026 the bundle was in stock, but the EB600 on its own showed as unavailable. EcoFlow’s AU spec table doesn’t give the bundle’s AC input wattage, only the 2.3-hour figure.
The two were the same price (A$899) on 2 November 2026. The AC70 has less capacity, but it’s stronger everywhere else. It has 1,000W of output, 500W of solar input and a fast AC recharge. BLUETTI’s FAQ says a B80 connects in power bank mode with an extra cable, so treat that as a top-up rather than true expansion. Its 20ms UPS switchover is the slowest here, which matters only if you plan to use it as a UPS.
Pick EcoFlow if… your loads are small (a 12V fridge, lights, phones), you want the most Wh for the same money, and a modular battery suits you.
Pick BLUETTI if… you camp with solar panels, or want more AC output (1,000W rated). Don’t count on it for a standard kettle. Most full-size kettles are rated well above 1,000W, and many above 2,000W. BLUETTI says the AC70’s Power Lifting Mode handles resistive loads, such as kettles, up to 2,000W, so anything rated higher won’t run. Check the kettle’s rating plate, or pack a low-wattage travel kettle rated within 1,000W.
For sizing a fridge setup, see the best portable power station for a camping fridge.
Tier 3 (~1kWh): EcoFlow DELTA 3 Plus vs BLUETTI Elite 100 V2
This is the all-rounder tier, big enough for several days of camping or a night of essentials in a blackout.
| Spec | EcoFlow DELTA 3 Plus | BLUETTI Elite 100 V2 |
|---|---|---|
| Price (2 Nov 2026) | A$1,599 | A$999, listed down from A$1,299, BLUETTI AU |
| Capacity | 1,024Wh | 1,024Wh |
| Battery | LiFePO4, 4,000 cycles to 80% | LiFePO4, 4,000+ cycles to 80% |
| AC output | 1,800W (3,600W surge) | 1,800W, 230V (2,700W power lifting) |
| USB-C | 2 × 140W | 100W + 140W |
| AC recharge | 1,500W | 1,200W, 80% in about 45 min |
| Max solar | 1,000W (2 × 500W) | 1,000W, 12–60V |
| UPS | <10ms | 10ms |
| Weight | ≤12.5kg | 11.5kg |
| Expandable | Yes, 1–5kWh | No (B80 in power bank mode only) |
| AU warranty | 5 years | 5 years |
On capacity, output, solar input and cycle rating, the two are effectively the same. On 2 November 2026 the Elite 100 V2 was A$600 cheaper and about a kilo lighter. It doesn’t come with a solar charging cable, so budget for a 20A MC4-to-XT60 cable if you use panels. BLUETTI’s FAQ says you can connect a B80 battery in power bank mode, but the spec table lists the Elite 100 V2 as not expandable. Read that as “can be topped up from a B80”, not as true expansion.
The DELTA 3 Plus costs more. For that you get a faster wall recharge, two separate solar inputs and expansion to 5kWh with EcoFlow’s extra batteries. EcoFlow also lists an IP65-rated battery pack.
Pick EcoFlow if… you might add batteries later, for example as part of a home backup setup.
Pick BLUETTI if… 1kWh will always be enough and you want the lower price.
Also on sale: BLUETTI AC180P. It’s still listed and in stock on BLUETTI AU at A$1,599 (base unit, 2 November 2026), the same price as the DELTA 3 Plus. It has 1,440Wh, 1,800W output and 500W solar input, and weighs about 16kg. The page advertises up to 4,224Wh with B80, B230 or B300 batteries, but BLUETTI’s own FAQ says the AC180P doesn’t support capacity expansion with them and can only be charged by them in power bank mode. It’s also heavier than the Elite 100 V2 and takes half the solar input. The AC200L was listed as out of stock, so we left it out.
Tier 4 (~2kWh): EcoFlow DELTA 3 Max Plus vs BLUETTI Elite 200 V2
This is the caravan and home backup tier.
| Spec | EcoFlow DELTA 3 Max Plus | BLUETTI Elite 200 V2 |
|---|---|---|
| Price (2 Nov 2026) | A$2,999 | A$1,899, listed down from A$2,499, BLUETTI AU |
| Capacity | 2,048Wh | 2,073.6Wh |
| Battery | LFP (cycle rating not listed) | LiFePO4, 6,000+ cycles to 80% |
| AC output | 3,000W (6,000W surge) | 2,600W, 230V (3,900W power lifting) |
| AC recharge | 2,300W, 0–80% in about 47 min | 2,300W, 80% in about 1.1 hrs |
| Max solar | 1,000W (2 × 500W) | 1,000W, 12–60V |
| UPS | <10ms | Within 15ms (per BLUETTI’s FAQ) |
| Weight | approx. 22.1kg | 24.2kg |
| Expandable | Yes, 2–10kWh | No |
| AU warranty | 5 years | 5 years |
The price gap is large: A$1,100 on 2 November 2026. EcoFlow’s AU spec table lists the battery as LFP without a cycle rating; the page only says “over 10 years”. For that money, EcoFlow gives you more output (3,000W vs 2,600W), a faster UPS switchover and expansion to 10kWh. It also has a smart output priority feature that switches off non-critical loads when the battery reaches a level you set. EcoFlow sells alternator charger bundles that reach 1,000W input, though EcoFlow notes some setups need its Smart Generator Adapter. The Elite 200 V2 has the higher cycle rating, costs less and has the same 2,300W AC input, though BLUETTI quotes about 1.1 hours to 80% against EcoFlow’s 47 minutes. But it can’t be expanded, it’s the heaviest unit here, and you’ll need to buy the solar cable separately.
Pick EcoFlow if… you’re building toward whole-home backup, need to run heavy loads, or want 4WD alternator charging from the same brand.
Pick BLUETTI if… 2kWh is your ceiling and you’d rather spend the savings on solar panels.
Warranty and support in Australia
Both brands publish their Australian warranty terms:
- EcoFlow: the EcoFlow AU warranty policy lists 5 years for the RIVER 3 Plus, RIVER 3 Max, RIVER 3 Max Plus, DELTA 3 Plus, DELTA 3 Max Plus and the EB300/EB600 batteries. Older models differ (for example, 24 months for the original RIVER 3). The policy covers purchases on au.ecoflow.com, and EcoFlow says other sellers may provide their own warranties. You can register at EcoFlow AU support.
- BLUETTI: the BLUETTI AU warranty and returns page says portable power station warranties range from 24 to 72 months depending on the model. Solar panels and accessories get 12 months. On 1 November 2026 the product pages listed 5 years for the Elite 30 V2, AC70, Elite 100 V2, Elite 200 V2 and AC180P. BLUETTI excludes units bought from unauthorised resellers, so check the seller first.
Both warranties apply only in the country of purchase. A unit bought overseas won’t be covered here.
On top of any manufacturer’s warranty, you have consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law that can’t be excluded.
How service works. EcoFlow AU takes claims at support.au@ecoflow.com or 1800 610 248. Eligible claims get a prepaid shipping label for returns within Australia, and EcoFlow aims to arrange a replacement within 15 business days of receiving the faulty unit. BLUETTI AU takes claims at sale-au@bluettipower.com. It does a remote assessment first, then sends a prepaid label with an RMA number. It repairs or swaps the unit, and a swap may be a refurbished unit of equal value.
Which is better for…
A camping fridge. In the weekend tier, the AC70’s 500W of solar input is the bigger advantage, because a fridge runs day and night and solar is what keeps you going. For runtime maths and fridge-specific picks, see the best portable power station for a camping fridge.
Blackouts and CPAP. For devices that can’t tolerate a drop-out, check the UPS figure first. EcoFlow lists under 10ms on all four models here. BLUETTI lists 10ms or less on the Elite 30 V2 and Elite 100 V2. A fast figure doesn’t guarantee a device keeps running, so test it, and for a CPAP, ask the maker or your equipment supplier. For longer outages, the 2kWh tier and expandability matter more. See the best portable power station for home backup.
A 4WD with a dual battery. EcoFlow sells alternator chargers for its DELTA units (up to 1,000W on the DELTA 3 Max Plus), and its RIVER 3 Plus lists 220W car input. On the BLUETTI side, the Elite 200 V2 lists 96W (12V) or 192W (24V) car input, which is slow for a battery that size. If you already run a dual-battery system, read portable power station vs dual battery before you buy.
If you’re weighing a power station against a petrol generator for longer outages, see portable power station vs generator .
Safety. Don’t leave a power station in a hot car beyond the manufacturer’s listed temperature range. Several of these units list 40°C or 45°C as their upper limit, and a closed car in an Australian summer can easily get hotter. Never back-feed a house circuit by plugging a power station into a power point or switchboard. Connecting to your home’s wiring needs a licensed electrician and the manufacturer’s approved hardware.
What about Anker, Jackery and others?
Anker SOLIX, Jackery and other brands also sell LiFePO4 power stations in Australia, and some are worth considering. We’ve kept this comparison to EcoFlow and BLUETTI so the pairs stay like for like. For a wider shortlist across brands, see our guide to the best portable power station in Australia .
Verdict
Don’t pick a brand and then a model. Pick the size you need, then compare the pair:
- ~300Wh: a draw. Choose the RIVER 3 Plus to add battery later, or the Elite 30 V2 for fast charging.
- ~800Wh: the BLUETTI AC70, for its output and solar input.
- ~1kWh: the BLUETTI Elite 100 V2 for value, or the EcoFlow DELTA 3 Plus for expansion.
- ~2kWh: the BLUETTI Elite 200 V2 for value, or the EcoFlow DELTA 3 Max Plus for output and expansion to 10kWh.
To repeat: these picks are based on the published specs and warranty terms on 1 November 2026, and prices on 2 November 2026. We haven’t tested the units. Check the current price on each store before you buy:

Frequently asked questions
Is EcoFlow or BLUETTI better in Australia?
Neither brand wins outright. Comparing models on sale in Australia on 2 November 2026, the small and mid-tier pairs were the same price, and BLUETTI was cheaper for the same capacity in the 1kWh and 2kWh tiers. EcoFlow's units can be expanded with extra batteries, while the Elite V2 models can't. Both brands list LiFePO4 batteries and 5-year warranties on these models. Choose by tier, not by brand.
Which has the better warranty in Australia, EcoFlow or BLUETTI?
For these models, they're equal. EcoFlow AU's warranty policy lists 5 years for the RIVER 3 Plus, RIVER 3 Max Plus, DELTA 3 Plus and DELTA 3 Max Plus. BLUETTI AU's product pages list 5 years for the Elite 30 V2, AC70, Elite 100 V2, Elite 200 V2 and AC180P. Both apply only in the country of purchase.
Which charges faster from solar?
It depends on the size. In the small tier, the RIVER 3 Plus (220W) and Elite 30 V2 (200W) are close. In the mid tier, the BLUETTI AC70 takes 500W of solar against the RIVER 3 Max Plus's 220W. At 1kWh and 2kWh, both brands list 1,000W of solar input, so the two are evenly matched.
Which is better for running a camping fridge?
For a weekend with solar, the BLUETTI AC70 looks stronger on paper. It accepts 500W of solar against 220W on the EcoFlow RIVER 3 Max Plus, and has 1,000W of AC output. The RIVER 3 Max Plus has slightly more capacity (858Wh vs 768Wh). For longer trips, look at the 1kWh tier. This is based on published specs, not testing.
Which is better for blackout backup (UPS)?
EcoFlow lists under 10ms switchover on all four models we compared. BLUETTI lists 10ms or less on the Elite 30 V2 and Elite 100 V2, 15ms on the Elite 200 V2 and 20ms on the AC70. Faster is safer for anything sensitive to drop-outs, but no switchover time guarantees a device keeps running. Test computers and modems yourself, and for a CPAP, ask the maker or your equipment supplier.
Are EcoFlow and BLUETTI both LiFePO4?
Yes. Every model in this comparison uses LiFePO4 (LFP) cells, according to the AU product pages. The cycle ratings differ: 3,000 to 6,000+ cycles to 80% capacity. EcoFlow's DELTA 3 Max Plus spec table doesn't give a cycle figure. LiFePO4 generally lasts longer than older lithium-ion chemistries, so it suits regular camping use.
Can I expand the battery later?
With EcoFlow, yes. The RIVER 3 Plus takes one extra battery, for 572Wh with an EB300 or 858Wh with an EB600, the DELTA 3 Plus to 5kWh and the DELTA 3 Max Plus to 10kWh. With BLUETTI, none of these models offers true expansion. The AC70 and AC180P can draw on add-on batteries in power bank mode, as can the Elite 30 V2 and Elite 100 V2 with a B80. The Elite 200 V2 can't be expanded.
Where are EcoFlow and BLUETTI serviced in Australia?
Both brands handle claims by email first. EcoFlow AU uses support.au@ecoflow.com or 1800 610 248 and sends a prepaid label for returns within Australia. BLUETTI AU uses sale-au@bluettipower.com, does a remote assessment, then sends a prepaid label with an RMA number. Neither warranty page says where its service centre is.
